Fans of the Real Housewives of Cheshire are calling for one of the stars of the show to be axed after she hit her husband in the face.
In Monday night's episode yoga instructor Perla Navia slapped Jonathan Barton when she objected to him watching a burlesque show starring her co-star Ester Dee.
Perla, who joined the ITVBe reality show last year, struck out at Jonathan in front of her fellow Houswives at Impossible on Peter Street. But viewers were horrified.
"Can’t believe Perla is still on the show after hitting her husband! Imagine if it had been the other way around!" tweeted one outraged viewer.
"What the F**K Perla hit her husband in the face?????? Wow," said another fan.
"Can’t believe Perla hit her husband in front of everyone he was only watching like everyone else," said a third viewer.
And another tweeted: "She SHOULD be gone. Violence is WRONG."
The drama unfolded in the opening episode of series nine when Perla and Jonathan joined Ester's 34th birthday celebrations - and the birthday girl took to the stage for a racy performance in black lacy underwear and suspenders backed by dancers carrying large red feathers.
At first Perla was seen gesturing at him to stop watching before placing her hand over Jonathan's face and mouth. She then approached him again in the crowd and asked "do you really like it?", hitting out twice and striking him in the face the second time as he told her "stop it Perla."
"Did you see that?" he asked the other Housewives including Tanya Bardsley and Rachel Lugo.
"I was really p****d off because Jonathan was looking at all these dancers," she explained to Seema Malhotra.
"I can't believe that Perla is this mad with Jonny," Seema told the show.
"I thought she was Miss Cool, Calm and Collected."
Speaking about the moment she said afterwards: "I don't know what came over me but when I saw Jonathan watching those girls dancing I just gone really mad.
"I know I shouldn't have got jealous but I should not have hit him neither."
She added: "When Jonathan gave attention to other womans it makes me really uncomfortable but that does not excuse me. I should have never hit him. It's that Latino coming out of me."

Perla, originally from Colombia, lives with Jonathan in Wilmslow. The couple met when both were in Barcelona.
Jonathan made his millions with his own meat firm JS Barton Ltd, which he grew into a £60m food service operation company Sandersons Limited. Perla is vegan despite her hubby’s butcher roots.
