A quick result and street record in Wangi Wangi

FAST MOVER: This tri-level home in Wangi Wangi offered magnificent views and was secured in less than a fortnight for $960,000.

The quick sale of a tri-level home with four bedrooms and stunning lake views from most rooms has produced a new street record for Wangi Wangi's Goonda Promenade.

Belle Property Lake Macquarie's Sam Taylor marketed the home at 9 Goonda Promenade with a guide of $875,000 to $950,000. It reportedly sold for $960,000 in just 10 days.

It was the fifth sale over $900,000 for the lakeside suburb this year, according to Australian Property Monitors data, and the first to surpass $900,000 for its street.

The $960,000 sale of this Wangi Wangi home was a street record.

Touch of history

A property that has had previous lives as both Adamstown fire station and police station has been listed for sale through First National Newcastle City's George Rafty with a guide of $950,000 to $1.03 million.

The property at 67 Narara Road has been transformed into a contemporary, three-bedroom home with soaring ceilings and a dual-level floorplan that is crowned by a whole floor parents' retreat with ensuite, large living area and a cathedral window that captures far-reaching views across to Strzelecki lookout.

It is open Saturday at 11.15am and set for auction on May 8.

Sought-after position

It is considered one of Newcastle's most exclusive streets and Robinson Property's Lyndall Allan expects a tightly held property she has listed to prove popular.

Ms Allan is marketing 70 Bar Beach Avenue, The Junction with a guide of $2 million to $2.2 million, which is considered entry level to that street for a house block.

The three-bedroom home has been in the same family for over 70 years. It is open on Saturday at 11.30am and set for auction on May 1.

A brand new apartment at 54A Bar Beach Avenue attracted plenty of attention before its $3.65 million sale at auction last Saturday.

The three-bedroom residence with a top-floor mineral plunge pool was marketed by Damon Sellis, of Street Property, and First National Newcastle City's George Rafty with a guide of $3.6 million to $3.9 million.

There have been several sales over $4 million for luxury residences in Bar Beach Avenue, which stretches from The Junction to Bar Beach, and a $5.525 million result 18 months ago.

Listings over $1m

First National Newcastle City have listed a three-bedroom Art Deco home on a corner block of 771 square metres at 14 Turner Street in Lambton with a guide of $1.15 million.

A guide of $1.2 million has been set for a four-bedroom home with leafy surrounds at 7 Arkana Close, New Lambton Heights that is being marketed by PRD Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

A three-bedroom house with stunning lake views at 25 Beryl Street, Warners Bay is being sold by Belle Property Lake Macquarie with expectations believed to be around $1.4 million.

Listings $500,000 to $1m

Dalton Partners The Junction have a two-bedroom home at 116 Cleary Street in Hamilton on the market with a guide of $595,000.

Expectations are believed to be in the mid-$800,000 range for four-bedroom houses at 10 Bombay Court, Cameron Park and 63 Royalty Street in West Wallsend that are both listed through Belle Property Lake Macquarie.

Belle Property are guiding $590,000 for a single-level Federation style home at 167 Kings Road in New Lambton.

Dowling Property Group are selling a two-bedroom home on a block 642 square metres in size at 33 Delauret Square in Waratah West with a guide of $590,000 to $630,000.

A two-bedroom apartment at 4/12 Grey Street in Wickham has been listed through Robinson Property with a guide of $510,000 to $550,000.

Listings under $500,000

Belle Property Cessnock are selling a cute three-bedroom cottage that has been totally renovated and sits on a 707 square metre block of land at 13 Anvil Street in Greta with a guide of $450,000 to $495,000.
