A popular Beatles attraction is giving free entry for one day

One of Liverpool’s most popular attractions is giving free entry for one day only - and for a very special reason.

On October 9, The Beatles Story is offering free entry to anyone with a name containing John, Winston or Lennon.

This is to mark what would have been John Lennon’s 79th birthday, and to celebrate the star’s favourite number.

The number nine seemingly followed John throughout his life; the Fab Four performed at the Cavern Club for the first time on February 9, signed a recording contract with EMI on May 9, and John’s son Sean Ono Lennon was even born on October 9 too.

The Beatles Story is home to John’s spectacles and jacket, which he wore in the Imagine video, as well as John’s last piano - the one he played in New York City just hours before he died.

Visitors can redeem the special offer at the admissions desk and receive a free souvenir - you just have to provide valid photo ID to enter.
