A pop-up Tango Ice Blast counter has opened in Newcastle city centre

There was widespread outrage across the country earlier this year when it was revealed that cinema chain Cineworld was pulling Tango Ice Blasts off its menu, showing just how much some people love the drink.

Well there's good news for anyone in Newcastle who's rather partial to an Ice Blast as pop up counter has opened in intu Eldon Square.

The Ice Blast bar is right next to Fenwick and John Lewis and when we walked past on Friday afternoon there was a steady stream of people queuing up to buy one.

The prices are £4 for a regular and £5 for large, with different colours available.

If you are heading to the cinema in the near future - not a Cineworld obviously! - you'll be able to taste that has gone on sale to mark the release of the live action re-make of Disney's Aladdin.

Say hello to Arabian Nights - a blend of peach and pomegranate - which is now being served up in Odeon, Empire and Vue cinemas nationwide.

And the launch has caused great excitement amongst Ice Blast fanatics.

There have been thousands comments so far on Tango's Facebook post about the new drink.

Someone commented "Can we go to the cinema? we don’t have to watch a movie I just wanna try this," while another fan joked "need to go the the cinema ASAP just for this tbh."
