A police helicopter was heard circling around Oldham in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
Residents were kept awake at around 3am as the National Police Air Service chopper was heard in the skies above Failsworth.
The helicopter had been deployed in the search for a stolen car after it was spotted by GMP traffic police.
Officers chased the stolen Eco Sport from Droylsden to Failsworth where it was abandoned.
Three suspects have been arrested, according to a tweet by GMP Traffic.
The post, put up at 6.30am, said: "This stolen Ford Eco Sport was sighted by #XT28 and pursued from Droylsden to Failsworth where it was abandoned.
"Two males and a female have been arrested with the help of PD Storm and his handler from GMP Dogs and NPAS North West."
