A Place in the Sun's Laura Hamilton tells fans the awful news about her son

Channel 4 presenter Laura Hamilton has said her family has received the "worst news" about her sport-mad son, Rocco. A Place in the Sun's Laura updated her fans as Rocco was taken to hospital.

Explaining her nine-year-old's injury, she said: "This morning's antics... Poor Rocco has a buckle fracture to his wrist!" The 40-year-old mum added: "No contact sport for six weeks – the worst news for a sports-obsessed little boy."

Only the previous evening, Laura had shared a pic of her kids being sporty as she said they had been to a swimming gala followed by football training. Laura and her ex-husband Alex Goward have two children together: Rocco and six-year-old Tahlia.

The property expert married Alex in 2012, but the pair recently split. Speaking about the couple's decision to go their separate ways, Laura told HELLO!: "It was a decision we both came to. We have an enormous amount of respect for each other, but we are now on different paths.

"At the point it was announced, we'd already overcome a lot of difficult times. But I am lucky that we have the relationship and respect for each other that we have, and our children's happiness will always be our priority."

Last week, Laura surprised fans by undergoing a facelift treatment. She revealed she was having the "non-invasive, needle-free" procedure at a health and beauty clinic owed by a pal –- as her social media followers told the 40-year-old she doesn't need it.

Laura shared a video on Instagram as she explained she was trying a new treatment called EmFace. She went on to say that celebrities like Jessica Simpson and Rebel Wilson have been having the treatment, which is taking Hollywood "by storm."

On social media, Donna commented: "Your eyebrows don't move now so it affects expression. Be a natural beauty x." Eddie wrote: “Well, in my opinion you don't need it gorgeous."

And in an eventful few weeks for Laura, the TV presenter was hailed as "beautiful" by fans after making a surprise appearance on This Morning on ITV. The star joined hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby to launch a competition to win a Vanworx campervan.

The A Place In The Sun presenter shared her excitement at taking part in the daytime programme with her Instagram fans. She told them she "absolutely loved" being in the ITV studios.
