(Picture: Getty Images)TV presenter Laura Hamilton has revealed that she has split with her husband Alex Goward after 13 years together.
The 39-year-old, from Dartford, Kent, who stars in Channel 4 property show A Place in the Sun, announced the news on social media platform Instagram on Saturday.
“This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated,” she wrote.
She added: “Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time."
She revealed the shocking news alongside a picture with a quote reading: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
The pair got married in 2012 and have two children together, Rocco and Tahila.
On their wedding, Laura walked down the aisle to Ice Dance from the film Edward Scissorhands , and at the reception, the couple entered the room to the theme tune from boxing film Rocky.
Her ex-husband is a broker and they share a business together - a café called Lord Roberts on The Green.
Laura has developed a name for herself since fronting hit real-estate programme A Place In the Sun.
The show sees property expert Laura help UK buyers find their perfect home abroad.
In 2015, she co-presented Cowboy Builders & Bodge Jobs for Channel 5.
During her career, she has worked for networks including ITV, Channel 5, Disney XD, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Boomerang.
She also appeared on the sixth series of ITV’s Dancing on Ice in 2011 and finished in second place.
