A Place In The Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin has shared an outstanding update as he continues his huge renovation project while battling incurable cancer.
The 49-year-old TV host has been regularly updating his 160k social media followers with his home journey after throwing himself into the huge task at the end of last year.
It comes as the Channel 4 star remains upbeat despite being diagnosed with incurable cancer and given just six months to live after he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer which eventually spread to his brain back in August 2020.
The father of three, who is married to Jessica Holmes, continues to work as an inspiration to others after promising to "make the most of every day" following the prognosis.
And now he has shared another update on his home improvement project on the property he shares with his wife, 40, and their three children, Rex, three, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.
In the latest update, Jonnie has revealed he is "chuffed to bits" with the result of the seemingly minor home update which has Jonnie gushing showing off a stunning, cedar-clad soffit outside the sliding patio doors of his home.
On his Instagram account, he wrote: "On a strict budget we could only use this material sparingly but I love the look of it.
"Everyone who visits our home will immediately be frogmarched to view and pay homage to the beautiful cedar soffit."
Fans shared their own appreciation of the enhancement with one user writing: "Looks great! How clever. I don’t think people will mind being frogmarched to see it."
Another added: "Can almost smell that gorgeous Cedar! Beautiful!," while a third said: "Very, very nice."
It follows a previous update in February which showed off the "hotel feel" ensuite bathroom after knocking out a fitted wardrobe to extend the space.
The updates come as Jonnie continues his fight against cancer. Speaking about his diagnosis in March, he said he recalled how a recent kickabout with his young son almost 'broke' him, due to feeling 'weaker'.
Speaking with The Sun at the time, the doting dad explained how playing a spot of football with his son Rex left him feeling frustrated as he "couldn't get near the ball."
"I’m very sporty and suddenly it’s just like…it was as if it was the first time I’d attempted football. I felt like a granddad. And that broke me a bit," he said.
The Escape To The Country host first shared the heartbreaking admission that he "doesn't know how long" he has left to live in November, after first being diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2020, which has since spread to his brain.
Jonnie went public with his tragic diagnosis last year after saying he is making as many memories as possible with his wife and three sons.
It comes after Jonnie said he is planning to record video messages so he can still speak to his beloved wife and three children after he passes away.
