A Place In The Sun buyers reject property within seconds before stepping inside

One couple on A Place In The Sun rejected the potential property within seconds of viewing it - and before even stepping inside.

Property expert Craig Rowe was joined by married couple John and Diane as they hunt for their perfect holiday home on Spain's Costa Calida. The couple had a maximum budget of £180,000 and were looking for a space that they could share with their grown-up daughters and granddaughters.

John and Diane were impressed by Craig's first property, the three-bedroom apartment was on the market for just over £141,000, and seemed to tick most of their boxes. John called the place "amazing", while Diane told Craig he had "set the standard quite high".

However, not everything was perfect with the first viewing as John did add he would like a bigger balcony and more outdoor space. Moving onto the second viewing, after starting off the day strong John and Diane knew almost immediately the property was not for them.

The two-bedroom bungalow came complete with more outdoor space, a roof terrace and a balcony but that did not impress the married couple. John initially refused to even view the home before he even stepped inside it.

After walking up to the property Diane said: "The road is too narrow, it's all a bit tight," before John added: "It's not what we are looking for."

Despite being certain they wouldn't be interested in buying this home, Craig convinced the pair to have a look inside. While they admitted it was "lovely" inside, the fact that the balcony overlooked another properties one put the couple off as John told Craig: "It's not for us I'm afraid".

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4 and All 4
