A Place in the Sun buyer 'speechless' as Jasmine Harman gives them a warning

A buyer on A Place in the Sun was speechless following a warning from the host on today's episode.

Jasmine Harman headed to Southeast Spain and the beautiful beaches of Mojacar to help house hunters Vicky and Marvin. The couple were looking for a holiday home to enjoy with their young twins Paige and Oliver and their pet chihuahua Daisy.

They had a budget of £250,000 but the property expert warned they needed to compromise to get exactly what they wanted. But despite her warning, the search got off to a great start as they said they had an extra £50,000 wiggle room.

The first home "set the bar high" with a t hree-bed apartment overlooking a communal pool and landscaped gardens. It had a super-stylish modern kitchen which itself opens onto the living/dining room, with its access to the terrace - on the market slightly over their original budget at £284,483.

The second home just didn't meet the same expectations as the first, but the third viewing took their breath away. It was a four-bedroomed villa with it's own private pool.

As well as a private pool and front patio space, the property had a backyard chillout area with its own waterfall feature. There was a front balcony off the main bedroom with views of the mountains and sea, as well as a rooftop solarium at the rear of the property for soaking up that Spanish sun and was on the market for just £288,793.

On first look, Vicky said "wow" before adding: "Speechless to be honest with you. It's a really nice size pool as well."

Jasmine went on to tell them it was four bedroomed with it's own private pool and the buyer said: "It's perfect. I wasn't expecting that."

While walking around the property, Vicky said: "It's definitely the best so far." Jasmine sent them off to see the rest of the property by themselves as she boasted to the camera over the couple's "beaming smiles".

The fourth and fifth viewings also blew the couple's socks off. Marvin said: "Jasmine, you've given us a problem. A very nice problem" as they struggled to decide which property they liked the best.

Ultimately Vicky and Marvin decided to choose between the final two properties - a three bedroom penthouse apartment and a three-bed villa with its own private swimming pool.

Thinking about the decision that was best for the kids, they decided to put an offer in for the penthouse apartment. While the seller was non-negotiable they still haggled £10,000 lower than the asking price and reminded them that they were cash buyers.

Unfortunately the offer was not accepted but they made a counter offer of £245,000 which the buyers first said they were going to accept before suddenly changing their minds and trying to knock another £1,000 off. The bargaining paid off and the offer was accepted.
