A Place in the Sun buyer says 'there's no point' as Spanish villa search brutally halted

A buyer on A Place in the Sun declared "there's no point" as they halted a search on today's show.

Leah Charles-King tried to help Lee and Louise find their dream home in Villamartin in Spain on Wednesday's episode. The couple were searching for a three bed villa with an outdoor pool that was within walking distance of the beach.

They were armed with a maximum budget of £220,00 to find their perfect property abroad. Leah was concerned the search could be tricky as she didn't think it would be possible to fulfil the couple's criteria within their budget.

The expert's fears were realised during the third home on the search, which was a four-bed villa in Lomas de Cabo Roig. The home was close to the beach but the buyers were immediately unimpressed that they had to share a pool with 27 other properties.

Louise was also concerned the home overlooked a wasteland as she said: "I can also see there are lots of bins there, so it looks like we're opposite a tip."

The buyers proceeded to enter the home as they were impressed by the valuation of just over £187,000. However, the viewing proved to be a short one as Louise said: "Honestly, it's not cutting the mustard for me."

Lee agreed as he said: "We're not going to buy it, so there is no point, it's just not going to happen." The buyers were impressed by the final home on today's show, which was a four-bed villa in Villamartin.

The home was priced at £222,222 and they engaged in a bidding war but eventually didn't secure the property and vowed to continue their search after the show had finished.
