A Place in the Sun buyer halts high pressure search after 'sad' admission

A Place in the Sun's Danni Menzies was disappointed as a buyer halted a high pressure search.

The property expert was helping Janet and Andrew find their dream home on the Costa del Sol. The couple were armed with a maximum budget of £215,000 and were looking for a three bedroom townhouse with lots of outdoor space for their pet dog.

Danni admitted the pressure was on as the couple had already sold their home in the UK and were living in a rental house in Spain. The search got off to a strong start as they were fans of the first home, which was a two bedroom house in San Pedro.

However, Danni was not so successful with the second home on the search. The three bedroom apartment in La Duquesa was under budget at just over £179,000 but the househunters were concerned at the large hill they needed to navigate to arrive at the home.

Janet said: "I'm a little bit concerned about that hill. It's a bit too steep and a bit too long."

They loved the interior as they were viewing the home but couldn't get over the steep incline so cut the search short. Andrew commented: "Its that hill. Perfect property but that hill. It's the right property in the wrong place." Janet added: "So sad."

Danni said: "that's a shame" as they continued the search for their dream home. The buyers eventually found their ideal property as they secured a two bedroom duplex in Los Flamencos, which was valued at £226,496.
