A pitch invader and Chelsea players rally around Abraham - Moments missed from Super Cup

Rudiger and Klopp

Antonio Rudiger was back on the substitutes' bench for the Super Cup as Chelsea were beaten on penalties by Liverpool.

The Germany international has been recovering from a knee injury and he will be hoping to get himself back into the starting team soon.

Before the match in Istanbul, Rudiger had a chat with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, two people who know each other well.

The 26-year-old knows Klopp from Borussia Dortmund as the defender spent a couple of years with the club while Klopp was still there.

It was good to see Rudiger back with the first team and Frank Lampard will be hoping that he will be fully fit in the coming games.

Pitch invader

In the Champions League final, Kinsey Wolanski made a name for herself as she burst on to the pitch.

In the first half of the game yesterday, there was another pitch invader who ran on to the turf, however I don't think they will be quite as famous.

The pitch invader got to the middle of the pitch and avoided security well, however then slipped as they made their way to the penalty box.

Eventually, security managed to wrestle him to the ground and that was the end of that ten seconds of fame!

A 'high ten' for referee team

It was an historic moment in the Super Cup with a female referee and female officials taking the game.

Referee Stephanie Frappart did a good job in the match, getting the majority of the decisions right and getting the respect of the players.

When the referee team had picked up their medals, they got a 'high ten' from another official for a job well done.

Rally around Tammy

It was a shame to see Tammy Abraham miss the penalty to end the Super Cup, but the Blues players were straight round to rally round him.

"I told him not to worry," Lampard said. "The fact that he is confident enough to stand up and want to take a fifth penalty. I have been there, missed penalties. Anyone can. I want the confidence of a young player to stand up and want to do that. I said not to worry.

"He will come back stronger. It is part and parcel of being a player in the top level, which Tammy now is. These moments come. We have to be very supportive of him. His team-mates were, I certainly am. That is football."

The players went straight up to the striker to console him and he will certainly be looking to bounce back in the coming games.
