A person has died following a crash in Rochdale.
Police were called to St Mary's Gate shortly after 8pm on Friday (December 6) to reports of a collison.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
Witnesses reported seeing a large police presence in the area.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At 8.12pm, police received a report of a road traffic collision on St Mary's Gate, Rochdale.
"One person has sadly died.
"We are early in the investigation and next of kin are yet to be informed.
"Road closures are currently in place and we request members of the public avoid the area for the time being."
