A Peaky Blinders Festival is taking place next month and here's how to get tickets

A huge festival celebrating Peaky Blinders is taking place next month.

The two-day event will head to Digbeth Arena on September 14-15 and tickets will go on sale next week on AXS.

Although the festival will take place in the setting of the show, Birmingham, its popularity in Merseyside is huge thanks to scenes being filmed across the area and being home to Peaky Blinders Bar.

The festival features five stages of music, live recreations of Peaky Blinders scenes involving 200 actors, fashion shows and men's grooming so fans will get the chance to live the show's world.

Meanwhile show creator Steven Knight will reveal all in a live Q&A featuring stars of the show during the weekend.

He says: "It will be a festival which will celebrate the swagger of the men and women who walked these same Digbeth streets one hundred years ago.

"We will be celebrating in Birmingham style and everyone from around the world is invited.

"Expect the unexpected, expect 1919 to come crashing into 2019 and, be assured, everything is officially by order of the Peaky Blinders."

Using its historic streets, warehouses and factories and employing lighting, sound, smoke, video mapping and special effects, the post World War 1 era will come to life for a day.

Artists confirmed to perform across the weekend include Primal Scream, Anna Calvi, who wrote the score for the upcoming series five, Slaves, Nadine Shah as well as a BBC Introducing Stage.

They were most recently here in November last year, filming scenes at Stanley Dock for series five which is being released 'soon' according to the BBC.
