'A party like no other': Newcastle United fans react to links of Kevin Keegan return

There is plenty going on at Newcastle United amid the ongoing takeover and significant changes could be on the cards on Tyneside, some of which could be particularly eye-catching.

The Mirror has suggested that Kevin Keegan is being lined-up for a return to St James' Park and has been invited to take up an ambassadorial role when the takeover is rubber-stamped.

Keegan has, of course, a long history with Newcastle both as a player and a manager, with his last spell at the club being an eight-month managerial stint from January 2008.

That brought an end to a three-year spell away from management and he has not had a managerial role since, with his departure from St James' Park leading to a bitter legal dispute.

Spells as a pundit have followed but a return to Newcastle could not be on the cards if reports are correct and fans on social media have had their say on the speculation.

While some expressed their uncertainty on a potential return, others are desperate to see Keegan return to the club.
