A New York Rangers player wiped out during introductions and NHL fans had jokes

The New York Rangers kicked off their 2019-20 season at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night and it didn’t take long for things to go a little poorly for them.

I’m not talking about the game, I’m talking right before the game.

Lias Andersson, a Swedish center who was the No. 7 pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, came skating out during player introductions and tripped right over what looked to be a mic cord. 

And he went flying.

I’m not sure who was supposed to be in charge of that mic cord, but they probably wished they would have moved it out of the way.
