A new viewing platform over the Water of Leith? Final chance to have say on exciting Roseburn plans

People are being urged to have their say on exciting plans for the city which include a brand new viewing platform over the Water of Leith.

The Rejuvinating Roseburn public consultation closes today (Tuesday) with a series of proposals aimed at improving the area put forward.

The city council have been looking to create a segregated cycle path between Roseburn and Leith Walk, connecting the west and east of the city.

And other ideas such as a pavement hopscotch court and horseshoes marking a Jacobite-era rout have also been suggested.

The Roseburn Action Plan was generated five years ago by Murrayfield Community Council (MCC) calling for various improvements to be made to the area.

And last month John Yellowlees, chairman of MCC, said: "Murrayfield Community Council are pleased to see this continuing progress in accordance with our long-term aim of improving the local environment, and hope that there will be a good response to this latest consultation by residents and businesses."
