A new trial extending McDonald's breakfast menu hours could be extended

A new trial by McDonald's to extend their breakfast hours could soon be curing hangovers across the country.

Its breakfast menu - including favourites the McMuffin and bacon and cheese bagel - currently closes at 10.30am but this could be about to change at restaurants nationwide.

As a result those days of waking up at 10.28am and realising there's no chance of making it to a McDonald's for your favourite breakfast could soon be coming to an end.

From today, (June 12) seven of the fast-food chain's restaurants will be trialling extended breakfast hours from 10.30am to 11am with a six-week test to see if the national really does want a later breakfast.

Although the seven restaurants included in the trial are down south in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, if successful, McDonald's will extend its breakfast hours to all UK chains.

The extra 30 minute window will also apply to ordering the menu from Uber Eats - where its current deadline of ordering by 10.15am will be extended to 10.45am.

No pressure for the citizens of the south coast then? Lets hope they truly represent the nation's love for fast food breakfast and take one for the team.

What's on the McDonald's breakfast menu?

McDonald's has a pretty extensive breakfast menu with a whole range of bagels, McMuffins, porridge and pancakes. There's of course vegetarian options as well as meaty.

It includes: Breakfast wrap; sausage, egg and cheese bagel; sausage and egg McMuffin, of which you can make a 'double'.
