A new snooker and billiard hall could soon open in Sunderland city centre under proposals lodged with council planners.
This month, plans were submitted to convert part of the Signal House building at the junction of Waterloo Place and Holmeside.
The change of use bid comes from Newcastle-based company Spot White Ltd with the centre planned for unit 8.
According to a planning application submitted to Sunderland City Council , the development could create 20 jobs.
This includes seven full-time and 13 part-time roles.
Early floor plans also map out around 12 areas for games tables alongside booth seating, toilets and kitchen and bar facilities.
And according to the planning documents, the hours of opening are proposed to be between 09:00 and 06:00 Monday to Sunday and including Bank Holidays.
A final decision on the pool and snooker club plan is expected by the end of April.
Comments can be made by writing to the council before Friday, March 27.
