A new outdoor restaurant is being set up in Manchester city centre, to support businesses without their own outside space.
The pop-up space will appear outside the Great Northern on Peter Street and will be taken over by some of the city's best restaurants.
It's a timely move, as Greater Manchester is put under stricter lockdown restrictions that mean people from different households can no longer meet indoors.
Similar moves have been taken across the Northern Quarter and Ancoats to provide businesses with extra seating in the open air.
The Great Northern's new Covid-secure, al-fresco restaurant already has a busy schedule of local restaurants lined up for August.
Tapas restaurant Evuna, Italian favourite Salvi's, and fried chicken joint South Manny Flavaz will all take up residencies over the coming month.
The Community Kitchen on the Square will officially launch on Thursday August 6, with Evuna taking up the first five-day stint.
The restaurant on the square will also include its own bar from Estrella Damm.
The Covid-secure space has been funded by Estrella Damm and the United We Stream emergency fund.
On the announcement of Great Northern’s restaurant on the square, centre director Mark Schofield said: "Housing so many brilliant bars and restaurants here at the Great Northern we really want to do what we can to help the hospitality business get back on its feet.
"A lot restaurants don’t have the luxury of outdoor seating, so we’ve created an outdoor dining space that can hold 50 diners in the heart of the Manchester."
Evuna's residency will begin from 5pm on Thursday August 6.
