A new lockdown-themed exhibition is opening at the National Football Museum

This week, a Premier League season like no other will draw to a close.

While the last games will be witnessed by a limited number of lucky fans across the country, the 2021-22 campaign will forever be remembered as the season where fans were confined to their homes.

To mark this unique season, a new free outdoor exhibition will be displayed at Manchester's National Football Museum.

During December, photographer Stuart Clarke - in collaboration with Amazon Prime Video - toured the country documented the season when English football "moved from the terrace to television".

Below is a tease of what the exhibition promises from a matchday that saw United bag a dramatic late winner over Wolves and City go head-to-head with Southampton.

The full exhibition contains 35 photographs in total and is available to view at the National Football Museum from May 27.

The exhibition shares the same name as a book, 'The Homes of Football', that will be released and available for free this summer.

Clarke says: "The Homes of Football 20/21 project with Prime Video has been an unforgettable experience for so many reasons. I feel privileged to have been the figurative fly on the wall for the campaign, capturing the passion of fans in their personal spaces, at a difficult time when football has been a saviour for so many,“ said Stuart Roy Clarke.

"There’s a famous quote - that football without fans is nothing. And while those mythical words were uttered many years ago by the immortal Jock Stein, the statement rings truer than it ever has in the decades since it was first spoken. Football IS the fans, and we must never forget that."

Prime Video will deliver 20 live and exclusive Premier League matches per season from the 2021/22 season until 2024/25, at no extra cost to a Prime membership.

Prime members will be able to watch these matches anywhere on the Prime Video app for smart TVs, mobile devices, Fire TV, Fire TV stick, Fire tablets, games consoles, on Virgin’s V6 TV Box, the TalkTalk TV set top box, Apple TV, Chromecast, BT TV or online at www.amazon.co.uk/primevideo.

Prime Video is available in the UK and Ireland at no extra cost to a Prime membership for just £7.99 a month or £79 per year. New customers can find out more at amazon.co.uk/prime and subscribe to a free 30-day trial.
