A New 'Fortnite: Battle Royale' Starter Pack Releases Tuesday: Here's What's In It

The new Ace Starter Pack is coming to ‘Fortnite: Battle Royale’ tomorrow.

A brand new Starter Pack is coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale tomorrow morning.

The ‘Ace’ Starter Pack is the follow-up to the ‘Wingman’ Pack, and like that pack it comes with an Outfit (Skin) plus Back Bling and 600 V-Bucks.

We know this because the pack has already showed up on the PlayStation Store:

While the above image (via FortniteIntel) shows a $5.99 price-tag that’s likely because it’s from an overseas PlayStation Store account. The ‘Wingman’ Pack was $4.99 and I expect this one to be the same.

That’s not a bad deal at all. It doesn’t get you very many V-Bucks, but you get a limited time Skin/Back Bling and you’re most of the way toward the cost of a Battle Pass for five dollars. Most skins range from 800 to 2,000 V-Bucks and may or may not come with Back Bling. With the ‘Ace’ Pack you get a cool Outfit and Back Bling essentially for free since 600 V-Bucks is worth the $5 you spend already.

All told, a pretty cool little addition to the game. If you’re new to Fortnite and just want a skin that isn’t the default starter skin, this is a good way to go. Probably the cheapest way to get a new skin there is outside of special offers (Twitch Prime packs, PS+ packs etc.) If you’re an old hand at the game or a big spender, this is a nice way to add to the collection.
