A new drive-in entertainment complex with in-car discos and a cinema is launching in Manchester

Manchester is about to get a new drive-in entertainment centre, including a cinema, live concerts, sing-a-longs and even bingo.

The Park n Party project will take over EventCity this summer, intending to entertain people of all ages while maintining social distancing.

A programme of events will be delivered to ticket-holders in their own cars, from comedy nights to blockbuster screenings.

Events already confirmed include in-car discos and bingo sessions, as well as performances from tribute acts to Little Mix, George Michael and Madonna.

Families will also be able to join in with sing-along events from their vehicles, belting out the hits from The Greatest Showman and Frozen.

There will be no food provided on site for safety reasons, but people are being encouraged to bring their own with them.

Resident DJs will provide entertainment before and after events.

Performances will be displayed across three giant dynamic screens from One Agency, which planned to launch a drive-in cinema at the same location before the UK went into lockdown.

Each event is set to last between 90 minutes and two hours, priced at £35 per vehicle.

Park n Party will officially launch on Wednesday June 17 with Bingo Bedlam - this first event will be exclusively for NHS and charity workers.

Those who qualify can email tickets@oneagencymedia.co.uk to reserve tickets.

Park n Party will then open to the public from Thursday June 18 with car park comedy, featuring Britain's Got Talent's Ricky K and a Peter Kay tribute act.

Visitors must only attend with people from within their own household.

Toilets on site will be monitored and strictly cleaned between users, with hand sanitiser readily available.
