A new dog-friendly café with vegan breakfasts has opened in Musselburgh

A new dog-friendly café has opened up in Musselburgh, offering vegan breakfasts and bio-degradable takeaway cups.

The Harbour Café Fisherrow on New Street has relaunched under new management this month.

They have home baked pastries and scones as well as soups and burgers.

Open from 8am six days a week, hungry dog walkers strolling along the coast can have traditional full breakfasts, along with veggie and vegan options.

All of their takeaway boxes and cups are compostable

Owners say: "Harbour Café Fisherrow will be using an eco-friendly alternative to polystyrene, these Biodegradable Sugarcane Clamshell Boxes are perfect for hot or cold dishes.

"Made from bagasse, also known as recycled sugarcane, these takeaway boxes are 100% compostable. All our takeaway packaging will be eco friendly, doing our bit to help our environment."
