A new bowling alley bar has opened just off Deansgate

There's another new bowling alley bar in Manchester city centre, this one launching for the first time next week.

Lane7 has popped up in the site left empty by All Star Lanes, which closed for good last summer.

Although guests won't be able to get a glimpse inside until Monday May 17, new photos have been released and the outdoor terrace is already open for business.

As well as ten-pin bowling, the new venue at the Great Northern Warehouse will have ping-pong, karaoke, and arcade games.

Food will come from Fat Hippo (Supplied)

The site will also be the home of Fat Hippo 's first Manchester restaurant, a burger joint already well-established across the North East as well as in Sheffield, Nottingham and Leeds.

There are 11 bowling lanes at Lane7, from standard bowling lanes to a premium lane, kitted out with light triggers for a modern, immersive experience.

There's also a 'super premium lane' - which apparently celebrates every strike 'with a bang'.

Each lane booking includes drinks table service, with cocktails, craft ales, and alcoholic hard shakes all on the menu.

The private karaoke room will be open for up to 12 people when restrictions allow in June.

A brand new shooting pod concept will be opening at Lane7, where visitors will unleash fire in a private booth using imitation weighted guns.

More conventional games - including darts, ping-pong, pool, shuffleboard and retro arcade games - are also available to play.

Bowling bars under the Lane7 brand are already operating in Aberdeen, Bristol, Newcastle, Liverpool, Birmingham, Sheffield, Middlesbrough and Leicester.

Lane7’s COO Graeme Smith said: "We’re excited to introduce Lane7 to Manchester this spring, after a tough year we’re all overdue a good night out and that’s where we come in to welcome you to our extravagant world of all things fun!

"Come in grab a delicious bite to eat, sip on some amazing drinks, have a round or two of first-class bowling and immerse yourself in some games.

"Whether with friends, family or colleagues our mission is to create an unparalleled atmosphere where you can just let loose. Our team’s role is to make you feel right at home, we pride ourselves on our incredible service and that’s what will make your time here one to remember. We can’t wait to bring Manchester the night out it deserves!"

The bar will officially open on May 17, though outdoor seated bookings are available on the terrace in the meantime.
