A new '100 per cent vegan' shop is set to open up in Leith this summer

A brand new "100 per cent vegan" shop is set to open its doors in Leith this summer.

The store, which will sell a whole host of plant-based groceries and mock meats , is expected to be up and running on Easter Road in August.

Alasdair Corbett confirmed news of the store opening on Facebook before asking people to help choose a name by voting for one of three options – with Easter Greens well out in front.

He posted: "New 100 per cent vegan shop selling fruit, vegetables, vegan cheese, mock meats, tasty vegan snacks and all sorts of other amazing plant-based groceries.

"Opens August 2019 at 4 Easter Road, Edinburgh."

We at Edinburgh Live reported earlier this month that a pop-up vegan pie shop would be coming to the Leith Walk Police Box for one day only.

This is being hosted by local kitchen Food Without A Face on June 1.
