A multimillion-dollar beachfront view on offer

Robinson Property's Mike Flook has listed a penthouse in Merewether with views he said people "would pay over $5 million for".

He is marketing the two-bedroom apartment at 21/2A Ocean Street. While a guide is yet to be disclosed, the Newcastle Herald understands expectations to be around $1.6 million. The property enjoys a sought-after position on top of the cliff between Dixon Park beach and Bar Beach.

In February 2019, Mr Flook sold a luxury four-bedroom residence nearby at 40 Kilgour Avenue in Merewether for $5.51 million.

"This penthouse is positioned on the northeast corner with a massive wraparound deck," Mr Flook said. "You wake up and look straight out at the ocean."

School benefits

Belle Property's Mick Phillips sold a four-bedroom house at 44 Crescent Road in Charlestown under auction conditions for $755,000 last Saturday and has donated the commission of $10,278 to Charlestown South Public School.

Flawless federation

George Rafty, of First National Newcastle City, has listed one of Hamilton East's most significant residences. He is marketing Federation Arts and Crafts home Woodbine at 43 Gordon Avenue with a guide of $3 million to $3.3 million.

Built circa 1916, the four-bedroom, two-bathroom residence is positioned on a generous 1018 square metre corner block. The property has an electric heated pool and a Bourne + Blue Architecture designed freestanding double garage and studio and is set for auction on May 29.

Lifestyle listings

Colliers International's Michael Chapman described three adjoining 100-acre allotments on separate titles he is marketing as rare offerings.

The properties are at 323 Raymond Terrace Road, East Maitland, 1 Metford Road, Tenambit and 80 Billabong Parade, Chisholm and all have a building entitlement and approval for a residential dwelling. All have guides of $1.3 million.

"An acreage of that size is becoming more and more difficult to find, particularly being that close to Maitland, East Maitland, the new hospital, Morpeth," Mr Chapman said. "It's pretty central and 100 acres in that patch is fairly hard to come by."

Listings over $1m

Robinson Property have listed a four-bedroom house on a 694 square metre corner block at 101 Gordon Avenue, Hamilton South with a guide of $1.95 million to $2.1 million.

A three-bedroom home on offer for the first time in 58 years at 209 Kemp Street, Hamilton South is being marketed by Street Property's Damon Sellis with what he described as an "entry point" guide of $1.29 million to $1.39 million.

Belle Property Lake Macquarie have not yet set a guide for a five-bedroom house at 102 Berkeley Street in Speers Point but expectations are believed to be in the mid-$1.4 million range.

Expectations are believed to be around $1.35 million for a split-level home with six bedrooms at 69 Yorston Street in Warners Bay that is also on the market through Belle Property.

Listings $500,000 to $1m

Dalton Partners New Lambton are selling a three-bedroom home in Hamilton's sought-after Cameron's Hill. A guide of $840,000 has been set for 189 Denison Street, which is believed to have been at one time owned by Gordon Richard Skelton, a Hamilton lord mayor.

A two-storey residence with a curved facade at 47 George Street, East Maitland has been listed by Belle Property Hunter Valley with a guide of $800,000 to $880,000. A guide in the mid-$900,000 range is expected for a four-bedroom home in a quiet cul-de-sac at 22 Eino Place in Eleebana being sold by Belle Property.

Listings under $500,000

Century 12 Novocastrian have a one-bedroom apartment at 6/575 Hunter Street, Newcastle listed with a guide of $390,000 to $429,000.
