A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries during a collision with an HGV in Monsall.
Emergency services scrambled to the collision on Oldham Road at 7.50am this morning.
Firefighters and ambulance service staff performed CPR on the motorbike rider.
He was then taken to hospital in an ambulance.
A section of Oldham Road is closed off, between Grimshaw Lane and Hulme Hall Lane, while emergency services attend.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 7.50am this morning to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a HGV on Oldham Road.

"Firefighters from Manchester Central and Philips Park are in attendance.
"Firefighters along with North West Ambulance Service colleagues carried out CPR on one casualty."

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "A HGV has been involved in a collision with a motorbike on Oldham Road. A man is seriously injured.
"He has been taken to hospital. There are a number of road closures at the junction of Grimshaw Lane and Hulme Hall Lane."
