A mock 'Dublin prisoner escape message' has been pinned up in the city

A mock 'Dublin prison escape' message has been pinned up in the city.

The message has been circulating widely on social media and is titled - 'Help Wanted: Prison Escape.

The satirical poster is from a man called 'Michael' who wants to help break his friend 'Colin' out of prison.

Michael starts by saying: "I need to break my friend out of prison. If you can help, be here at 3:17pm tomorrow and we can work on a plan.

Prisoner remains at large after escaping while receiving hospital treatment

Colin's friend already has a list of ideas for the prison break which include:

"Flood the prison with water (Colin could then swim to freedom)

"Giant magnet (We'd need him to wear an iron suit but this could be feasible)."

As well as this, Michael thinks "faxing blue prints" and a "body swap" could work with the only downsides being "lack of access to fax machine" and the sheer difficulty of a body swap.

Michael is open to ideas from anyone, well almost anyone.

"If you are a policeman or a prison guard, please do not read this notice," he concludes.

The sign comes just a couple of days after a prisoner went on the loose after he escaped from custody while receiving treatment in a Dublin hospital this morning.

Sources said he was seen running out of the A&E department of the hospital before running up James's Street with four prison officers giving chase.

A spokesman told Dublin Live at the time: "The Irish Prison Service can confirm that a prisoner has escaped from lawful custody while on escort to St James's Hospital this morning.

"An Garda Siochana were notified immediately and provided with all the relevant information in relation to the prisoner.

"The Irish Prison Service is currently investigating the circumstances of the escape."
