A missed Dan Bailey field goal in Week 17 will be costly to him

Vikings kicker Dan Bailey has made 92 percent of his field goals in 2019.

If he stays at that mark, he’ll make a cool $1 million incentive via Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune.

However, if Bailey dips below that 90 percent mark, he’ll lose $250,000 in incentives.

If Bailey goes 0-for-1, his percentage will dip to 88 percent. That would still net him an extra $750,000. If Bailey goes 0-for-2, he’ll be down to the $500,000 bonus instead of the $1 million.

If you’re Bailey’s bank account, you’re probably hoping the team doesn’t approach field goal position.

In what is a meaningless game as far as the standings are concerned, this is something to keep an eye on.

Bailey has a base salary of $1 million for the 2019 season.
