A minor league pitcher picked off three straight runners at first base and fans were in awe

Baseball is a beautiful game where lots of wild things can happen. I mean, did you see that bizarre bounce in last night’s Phillies-Braves game that led to two runs? It was nuts.

Here’s something else that is nuts – a pitcher in a minor league game recently gave up three straight singles and then picked off all three runners at first base.

Seriously, that really happened. The pitcher in this impressive video below is David Festa, who plays for the Cedar Rapids Kernals, who are a High-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.

Might there have been a missed balk call or two in this sequence? Mayyyyyybe, but whatever. It’s still pretty wild.
