A mince pie beer is coming to London this Christmas

For those looking to put some ho-ho-ho into their hops, one London pub is pouring pints of mince pie beer this Christmas.

The Mince Pie-PA will be on the taps at Long Arm Pub in – you guessed it – Shoreditch, from December 10 until stocks last, at £5.50 a pint.

The pub’s press team says that the mince pie pale ale has been infused with both real mince pies and gingerbread, and boast the flavours of cranberries, dates, cinnamon and caramel.

It will also be accompanied by a Thierry’s Chocolate Orange Stout (see what they did there?), providing a boozed-up take on the Christmas chocolate classic.

The beers are both being brewed on-site at the pub, which doubles as a Tank Fresh brewery, meaning you’ll get these baffling beverages on draught straight from the tank.

This isn’t the first foray into flavour-hijacking Long Arm Pub has made. Its punters were also recently treated – if that’s the right word – to an avocado-infused beer.

While you’re unlikely to be asking Santa Claus for a lifetime supply of this publicity stunt, maybe he’d be up for finding a Christmas Eve pint of it at the bottom of Long Arm Pub’s chimney.
