Manchester City's defence did not know how to deal with Leeds United's onslaught in the second half of their pulsating Premier League draw.
That is the verdict of pundit Tim Cahill, who has lavished praise on the Whites' attacking showing against City.
After trailing to a Raheem Sterling strike, Leeds rallied and gave Pep Guardiola's side a bloodied nose in the second half.
Rodrigo tucked home an equaliser shortly after coming on as a sub to earn a deserved point for the hosts.
Speaking on Match of the Day , former Everton man Cahill said: "There was big respect for Leeds. Manchester City had to adapt to Leeds.
"The way Leeds played showed a level of fearness because they have so many attackers and push Man City back in numbers.
"The common denominator was the overload of the Man City defence.
"I've never seen City under this much pressure and not know how to deal with it.
"Ederson was on fire today, it for me was so impressive watching Leeds play, not worry about Man City and attack in numbers.
"Look at the numbers in the box, the goal doesn’t happen by luck.
"Rodrigo and Poveda were excellent when they came on and I was really impressed with the way Leeds played.
"This is sending a message to the Premier League. Teams will watch this and say ‘we need to adapt to the way they play’."
Next up for the Whites, following the international break, is a home game against Wolves on October 19.
