A massive outdoor concert in Newport due to take place this summer has been postponed for the second time

A huge outdoor music festival has been postponed for the second time in a matter of months.

Initially due to have taken place at Newport's Tredegar Park in June, organisers of Let's Rock Wales announced earlier this year that the retro music bash - featuring such '80s and '90s favourites as Adam Ant, Chesney Hawkes and Kim Wilde - would instead be pushed back to Saturday, September 18.

However, that has now changed again, with the news that the one-day festival is to be postponed until next summer.

The decision has been attributed to logistical concerns over the continued lifting of Covid restrictions.

All existing tickets remain valid, whilst new tickets for the revised date (June 4, 2022) are currently on sale for those wishing to buy some.

And the event, which first came to Wales in 2019 but was cancelled in 2020, is not the only one to be affected by the uncertainty surrounding the ongoing coronavirus situation.

For example, it's still unclear if the The Green Man festival in the Brecon Beacons will go ahead in August as hoped.

The four day extravaganza was cancelled in 2020 because of the pandemic and tickets for this year's instalment sold out in 18 minutes, even without a single act on the line-up being announced.
