Luke Shaw says the entire Manchester United squad have been given 'a massive lift' after the club agreed a deal to re-sign club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese ace had looked to complete a controversial transfer to Man City earlier in the week before United intervened and lured him back to Old Trafford.
A shock deal quickly gathered pace on Friday morning with the club officially announcing the move within hours of the transfer actually being proposed.
The move has sparked fresh life into United's hopes for the season ahead with many supporters now confident of a serious Premier League title bid spearheaded by living legend Ronaldo.
Shaw admits he is very excited to share a dressing room with the Portugal international and he has revealed the impact which Ronaldo is already making on his new teammates.
"Yeah of course there is a lot (of buzz)," he told Sky Sports.
"I feel like it's given the club a massive lift, not just inside but also outside which is obviously a very big positive.
"He's been one of the best players n the world for a number of years now and everyone’s very excited for him to come in and especially to learn off him and to be able to play with him too.”
