A Manchester university is offering a scholarship where you get to do work experience with a Formula 1 team

A Manchester university is offering a scholarship which includes work experience with a Formula 1 team.

Manchester Metropolitan University's new Formula 1 scholarship is aimed at encouraging young people from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue a career in engineering and motorsport.

A Black, Asian, or ethnic minority or female student will be given help to gain a mechanical engineering degree - and work with the likes of Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes team.

Each scholarship will cover the full cost of a student’s tuition and living expenses.

At Manchester Met that's worth £65,250.
