Police are trying to find the family of a man who died after an 18-month stay in hospital.

Kok Ooi, 46, sadly passed away at Stepping Hill Hospital on Sunday (August 2).

He had been an in-patient at the hospital for the past 18 months.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Police are now appealing to the public for help to identify Mr Ooi's next of kin.

He was born in Singapore and may have relatives living in the Tameside area, Greater Manchester Police say.

Mr Ooi had been living in the Mossley area of Tameside.

Anyone with any information about Mr Ooi's next of kin should contact the police coroner's office, in Stockport, on 0161 856 9696.
