A man on Tinder sent woman a horrible message about her dress - then ASOS did something lovely

Tinder user Thea Lauryn Chippendale was shocked when someone on Tinder insulted her dress, describing it as "awful" and telling her to grow up.

She received an unsolicited comment from a man called 'George' on the dating app saying: "Not gonna lie you’re a bit of a joke, but that dress in the last photo is not doing any favours."

Adding insult to injury, he went on: "Literally had to tell you else I wouldn’t have slept. ‘It’s awful you not reckon? Charity shop job! ‘I tell you what… GROW UP! And shop somewhere decent! Thanks. Hope this helps."

Yet what happened next is absolutely lovely.

After she tweeted about her experience, internet shopping giant ASOS made her the face of the lace midi dress on their website.

'Stop asking me when I'm going to settle down and get married'

Thea's tweet itself attracted 99,000 like and more than 7,000 shares.

The 20-year-old a student at the University of Lincoln is now modelling the dress - the ASOS Design premium lace midi dress if you're interested - on the ASOS website and looks fantastic to boot.
