If you regularly shout “I’ve got a text” to your colleagues on receiving a Whatsapp message, or are already counting down the days until FriendsFest returns to the UK this summer, you’re in luck.
To celebrate Love Island’s return to our television screens on Monday 3 June, open-air cinema company The Luna Cinema and ITV have teamed up to launch the “Love Island The Experience” – an open air viewing space themed on the hit ITV show.
For a limited time in July, Brighton Beach and Liverpool One’s Chavasse Park will be transformed into a Love Island fan’s paradise, where wannabe “islanders” will have the chance to watch live episodes of the show every night in a space that is a near replica of the Love Island villa.
At the event, guests will be able to take photos in the famous settings from the show, such as the semicircular fire pit, bedroom, and the Beach Hut diary room.
There will be also be a walk of fame where audience members can pose with pictures of their favourite “islanders” (give us 2018 winner Dani Dyer, any day), as well as a giant version of the widely-recognisable Love Island water bottle.
Love Island-themed food and cocktails will also be on offer as well as guests appearances from departing contestants from this year’s show.
Better yet, each live episode will be celebrated with an after-party. Who knows, you might even be able to “crack on” and find love at the event?
“We cannot wait to bring this world to life and to bring a slice of Mallorca to two fantastic locations - in the heart of Liverpool city centre and against the iconic backdrop of Brighton Pier!” says George Wood, found of The Luna Cinema.
Ticket prices for the event range from £14.50 - £175, with VIP beach hut tickets granting up to four attendees access to a fridge of drinks, butler service and luxury seating on a private veranda.
The event will take place from 19 July for 11 nights in Brighton, and from 23 July for 7 nights in Liverpool.
