A LOT of dodgy booze was found at a shop in Trafford - 760 bottles of it

This is the haul of illicit alcohol seized from a shop in Trafford.

Trading Standards officers, alongside police, carried out a raid at the shop yesterday.

Officers discovered 760 bottles of non-duty paid alcohol at the supermarket.

Trafford council said 224 litres of illicit booze was seized, with a value of around £6,000.

An image of the alcohol was shared on Twitter. An investigation is underway to establish where it came from.

Town hall chiefs refused to give the Manchester Evening News  any more information about the case, including what the alcohol was and where the shop is.

The tweet read: "A total of 760 bottles, 224 litres of non-duty paid alcohol valued over £6,000 was seized from a retail premises in Trafford by Trading Standards assisted by Greater Manchester Police. 

"Investigations are now continuing into the source of the alcohol."
