Back in January, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that Arrowhead Stadium would be undergoing renovations this offseason.
It’d been over a decade since Arrowhead Stadium underwent any major renovations, but this summer the Chiefs sought to add to the quality of the fan experience. Among the renovations was the installation of new LED paneling on the stadium’s football-shaped scoreboard, an update to weatherproofing materials and new seating for the upper deck. The LED paneling has already been updated, and just yesterday, the maintenance crew at Arrowhead Stadium began installing the new seating in the upper deck.

The design here looks pretty sleek compared to the old seating, which is now a coveted item for Chiefs fans looking to spruce up their “fan caves.” The big news is the addition of cup holders to the upper-deck seating. The design looks great, seemingly without compromising space or comfort. You’d have to figure that fans in the upper-deck sections will have a much better experience during football games.
The Chiefs should be finishing their renovations to Arrowhead Stadium shortly as Monster Jam comes to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, June 16 and soccer club FC Bayern takes on AC Milan at the venue in July.
