Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling have taken the next step in their relationship and have become engaged.

The Love Island beauty has been seen flaunting an exceptional engagement ring and proving that her husband-to-be is a true romantic the voiceover star designed it himself.

Irish beauty Laura's new engagement ring sure makes a statement with a dazzling yellow stone that appears to be attached to a white gold band that holds two baguette cut sparklers on either side of the oval rock.

A piece like this is estimated to cost around £8000, according to Midge Williams, owner of Exclusive Watches Limited, who has provided celebrity clients such as Chloe Ferry, Charlotte Crosby and Sophie Kasaei with diamond pendants, rings and diamond encrusted watches.

The bling expert told Mirror Online: "The price on a 1 carat good quality intense yellow diamond ranges from £5500 - £7000.

"On average you could buy a ring like this custom made in 18ct white gold shank for around £7000."

He added that the stones that the frame the coloured diamond could cost around £500 each depending on clarity - which could add another £1000 to the final bill bringing it to £8000.

Laura sparked speculation that her famous beau Iain bent the knee after she was pictured this week sporting the stunning yellow diamond on her ring finger.

It is reported that Laura said 'yes' to comedian Iain in South Africa on holiday after they wrapped Winter Love Island in at the start of 2020.

After they wrapped filming on the show they remained in the sunny destination, according to The Sun.

The publication details that the comedian asked for her hand in marriage by presenting her with a yellow diamond ring he had designed.

It is understood that they shared the happy news with their nearest and dearest this month.

A friend told The Sun: “They couldn’t be happier. We’re thrilled for them.

"He’d obviously thought about it for a while, as he designed the ring and yellow’s her favourite colour.

“Their wedding plans are on hold due to the lockdown but it’s lovely to have a wedding to come.”
