A vintage clothing market popped up in Newcastle - at a nightclub.
The newly refurbished club, Studio, in Hood Street, formerly known as MSA, hosted the unique event on Saturday.
The event was organised and supplied by Newcastle-based business ‘Drip Streetwear’, a designer, retailer and event planner that specialises in all things vintage.
The firm works to source vintage and streetwear pieces from across the world and rehome them here in Newcastle.
Several other local vendors were also involved, including The Aggregator, Jules of the Earth and Upcycled by Anna, all selling repurposed items to customers attracted by the sales and music sets.
The club was recently redecorated and the walls are now adorned with graffiti designed by the artist Mul, in time for the proposed reopening on June 21
Drip was founded during the pandemic by two Newcastle University alums, Max Galins and Wes Allmark, and has since accrued over 8,000 followers on their Depop store.
Co-founder Wes said: “In the future, we hope to pop-up in more spots all across the country and intend to do so in Newcastle every month now.”
