Mark Stewart has good reason to look ahead.
In December, he harvested this buck with a muzzleloader in Clark County.
It’s a buck worth waiting on.
“He will score 170, I’ll have him back February, 2022,” Stewart messaged. “Cliff’s Taxidermy in Plainfield does all my work.”
Bucks are scored by adding and subtracting various measurements in inches of the rack.
The last of Illinois’ deer-hunting seasons end Sunday, Jan. 17.
