A lockdown brunch service is launching - with cocktails delivered to your door

Brunch fans are being encouraged to join in with a nationwide at-home brunch event over the next bank holiday weekend.

The Big Brunch Lock-In will see bespoke cocktails being delivered to doorsteps across the UK, along with recipe cards from some of the country's best-known brunch spots.

Participating restaurants will also be offering 20% discount on food bills for ticket-holders, to be redeemed when it's safe for them to reopen.

Those getting involved include fried chicken experts Yard & Coop, London's Australian-inspired floating barge cafe Darcie & May Green, Liverpool's The Florist, and steak chain Gaucho.

Greenhouse restaurant Bourne and Hollingsworth will also be taking part, with a recipe for banana and hazelnut pancakes.

Other recipes will include a 'KFC' waffle, a banana bread sandwich, and an Argentine grilled sausage sandwich.

Tickets for the event cost £25 per person, with the option to add a donation to the NHS.

The price includes pre-made premium cocktails delivered to your door before the event, as well as recipe cards and a live-streamed DJ set from Benny Blanco.

Cocktails to choose from include a litre of espresso martini from Tails Cocktails, a litre of bellini from Lollipop, and 500ml of passionfruit spritz from Cassidy's Pharmacy.

There'll be a prize giveaway on the day too.

It's advertised as being the biggest ever brunch-from-home event, though it's also the first of its kind.

Tickets can be purchased from designmynight.com and will need to be ordered before Monday May 25 to get your cocktails in time.

The Big Brunch Lock-In will take place on Saturday May 30.
