A-Level and GCSE results Northern Ireland: Tell us what you think about how grades have been decided

Thousands of students across Northern Ireland received A-Level results and GCSE results in the past week - bringing on days of mixed emotions.

Exams across the UK were cancelled in March, due to the Coronavirus pandemic and calculated grades were issued on Thursday through a standardisation method.

The Principal of Lagan College said last week that this system has "let pupils down".

Amanda McNamee added she felt “disappointed and embarrassed”.

Then earlier this week, Education Minister Peter Weir announced a U-turn on how grades would be calculated for both A-levels and GCSE results with students now receiving their results based on teacher estimates.

You can catch up on the reaction from A-Level results day here, but we want to hear from you - our teachers, parents and students.

What do you make of how results were calculated this year? Let us know by filling in our survey below and we'll bring you the results over the next few days.

CCEA chief executive Justin Edwards defended its standardisation model for grading.

He said: "All of us at CCEA, working closely with the education community, have strived to ensure that students are able to progress this year."
