A Lego Santa's grotto opens in Manchester - and even the big man is made of it

Lego fans are in for a treat this Christmas with a Lego Santa's grotto.

The brick built grotto has opened at Legoland Discovery Centre Manchester where it's part of the Christmas Bricktacular event.

Even Santa himself is made of Lego, which might be a blessing for some families with little ones who are scared to meet real thing.

There's lots more fun included at the intu Trafford Centre venue too, including the chance to write a letter to Santa and receive a special reply in the post.

Children can enjoy a scavenger hunt in the winter wonderland themed Mini Land, build a decoration and collect a limited edition factory brick and pop badge.

And they can have their photo taken with the brick man himself and get a gift to take home.

Christmas Bricktacular runs from now until January 5 and the grotto is open on weekends only during November and December, plus December 23 and 24.

Lego Santa will be making special appearances throughout the event period.

It's included in the normal admission price and tickets, from £11.95, can be booked online.
