IT wasn't the best goal Matt Millar has scored.
But the exciting Jets wingback hopes his well-taken 75th minute equaliser against Western Sydney at Bankwest Stadium on Saturday is a turning point.
Millar played a neat one-two with Roy O'Donovan and hit a crisp shot which beat Daniel Lopar at the near post.
It was Millar's third goal in 17 games for the Jets and came a week after he missed an open goal in the 4-3 win over Central Coast.
On that occasion, he snatched at a shot from a similar distance - eight metres - and blazed it high.

"It was a massive relief," Millar said of the goal. "I sliced it a little bit, but the main thing was that I slowed down, took a touch and made sure I hit the target. I have been speaking to the forwards, Roy O'Donovan and Kaine Sheppard. They said once you get into the box to take a breath and have bit of composure."
Millar has also lent on recently arrived assistant coach and former Scotland striker Kenny Miller.
"He has 200 goals in the Scottish Premier League and a striker's instinct," Millar said. "We did some extras last week and he was talking about getting your head over the ball."

Millar could have had a brace. Late in the first half, he collected angled pass from Nigel Boogaard, drove in to the box but couldn't generate enough power with his shot.
"The good thing is that I am getting in good areas," Millar said.
"Now it is just about making sure I capitalise."
The draw stretched the Jets' unbeaten run to three games and Millar said belief was growing.
"Every week you go undefeated builds confidence," he said. "Bar the first 15 minutes where we took a bit to settle, we played Wanderers off the park. Carl [Robinson] has been very big on instilling confidence around the club. We have a great group here and we can really some do damage."
