'A leader we've been missing' - Leeds United supporters' delight at Rasmus Kristensen signing

Leeds United supporters are having to pinch themselves after two players have been signed by the club before the summer transfer window has even opened. Rasmus Kristensen is the second player to come through the door at Elland Road after the signing of Brenden Aaronson was announced just under a fortnight ago.

The Denmark right-back’s arrival was announced on Wednesday afternoon for an undisclosed fee on a five-year deal. That will see him move into the latter stages of his career in West Yorkshire as he will be 25 years old by the time the 2022/23 Premier League campaign begins.

The signings of the two international players so soon after the end of the season show the desire by those in charge at Leeds to give Marsch as much time as possible with a full squad. He will be relishing the chance to spend a full pre-season with his players when they return to Thorp Arch with the objective of moving up the Premier League table at the forefront of their minds.

The two arrivals, which are likely to be joined by more as the summer continues, only help to build excitement amongst the fanbase. Those supporters, in the matter of just a few weeks, have gone from preparing themselves for a potential relegation to not being able to wait for next season to get underway.

After seeing the Leeds squad get ripped apart with all the injuries to key players this term, no one can blame them for getting excited when reinforcements are brought in. Here is what some of them have had to say in response to Kristensen’s arrival on social media.
